  • Alleviation of physical and emotional tension.
  • Release and relaxation of muscles and improved flexibility.
  • Relief from general muscular aches and pains.
  • Muscolo-skeletal realignment.
  • Improves circulation and stimulates the lymphatic system
Traditional Thai massage is a combination of acupressure, reflexology and yogic exercises, or gentle stretching, which manipulates the energy lines and so diminishes tension, stimulates metabolism and creates a feeling of wellbeing and vitality. Unlike some other therapies, you will feel refreshed and energized after a Thai massage, rather than sedated and lethargic.

Traditional Thai massage is a treatment sequence of different pressure techniques, especially body postures and stretching exercises, which are being coordinated with breathing. Postures and movements are in large part derived from the meditations of Buddhism. It is from here, that traditional Thai massage draws significant parts of its origins and could therefore be considered a "complete meditation". Our life energy flows, according to this philosophy, through us in channels, the so-called "sen". If these channels are blocked, it will often lead to problems like pain, tension and tiredness. Treatment will open these blocked channels, restore energy flow of the body and activate the central nervous system, as well as the blood circulation. One feels distinctly relaxed and energetic, with a raised feeling of well-being. Bodily relaxation is a precondition for the mind and soul being well balanced. This sharpens our consciousness and improves the ability to concentrate in a natural way. A full standard treatment requires 11/2 hours of time. The exertion of pressure is firm but pleasant. If blockages are found, then the pressure will be accordingly adjusted.

Origin
Traditional Thai massage is part of the ancient art of Thai healing. This art of healing came from India to Thailand more than 2500 years ago. Therefore, the beginnings of traditional Thai massage are found in yoga, the ayurvedic medicine and in spiritual applications from Buddhism. The earliest descriptions of such treatments are found in the Pali verses of the Theravada Buddhism. The founder of traditional Thai massage was Dr. Shivago Komarpay, also called Kumar Bhaccha. He was a doctor and a friend of the Buddha. At the Institute in Chiang Mai founded by Dr. Shivago Komarpay, every massage is still begun with a Pali prayer, the "wai kru", requesting to be blessed. Since then the traditional Thai massage is being continuously further developed and improved upon by a multitude of users. Massage owns the extraordinary virtue to take care of body and mind, offering the possibility of curing many of those imbalances, that deprive us from daily peace, like depression, tension, fatigue, insomnia and stress.

Many techniques of massage exist to secure the wished objective, that it is the well-being of our body and organism. We chose the Thai massage for this aim. After spending long seasons in Asia, specifically in Thailand, where we practiced yoga, and enjoyed this very amiable and relaxed culture; learning the previously mentioned techniques, to ensure the health and balance that are so much needed by our bodies..

I studied the technique of the northern style of Chiang Mai and the Wat Po Style in 1996 in schools they are certified by the Thai Gouverment of public health such as: Wat Po Thai Traditional Medical & Massage School, Thai Traditional Medical Services Society, (Klongluang Pathumthani), Wat Hua Kabú, Bangkuntien, Bangkok. I am a practitioner since 2001.

Traditional Thai massage is a massage of accupression and stretchings, put into practise with the palms of the hands, the thumbs, feet and elbows; all the movements on the patient are harmonic but strong and energetic thus releasing the energies that are blocked in some parts of the body; working all the lines of energy of the body, pressing from down upwards securing thereby a great lightening of tensions and great sensation of pleasing and relieve.

Received frequently Traditional Thai massage aids to balance all the elements of the body (earth, water, air and fire) and can help prevent poor health, diseases. Therefore we can say the objective of this massage is, to strengthen the body and enjoy a pleasant moment all at the same time.

Thai Foot Massage

The foot massage is also a very old tradition, used already for more than 3.ooo years in many civilizations.

The Thai foot massage has its origin in China and has always been used to prevent and to cure many diseases like headache, tension, constipation, stress and migrain. All the sensorial nerves of internal organs that are spread throughout the human body, are connected to other organs, the skin and the majority are rooted in the sole of the feet.

Therefore a foot massage is good to stimulate the operation of internal organs thus helping to expel accumulated toxins, to bring about better circulation of the blood and lymphatic liquids and to obtain or to maintain a good state of health.

Thai Aroma-Oil Massage

This massage is a mixture of elements of traditional Thai massage and aroma-oil massage. In this technique, less oil is used compared to the Ayurvedic massage, and it involves gentle strokes, stretching, pulling and modifying of acupressure points. Warm oil, enriched with essential Aroma oils is used.

Herbal Stamp massage

Herbal Stamp massage is a Traditional Asian massage. The stamps are filled with specific herbs and spices for the clinets needs and then heated in a base-oil between 60-85°C. With a special technique, the energy lines of the body are massaged with the stamps. The heat of the oil not only opens up the body , but also releases the herbal "oils" to be absorbed into the body for the desired effect. As this happens you are able to relax and enjoy the warmth, the massage and the benifits of the herbal stamp massage.

The herbal stamp massage is a pleasure for your senses. After 1-2 days you will notice the condition of your skin, that it feels smoother and is clearer.
